Saint Lucia Airport and Transportation
There are two international airport located on Saint Lucia. Hewanorra International Airport at Vieux Fort (UVF) is located at south side of the island. The George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU) is located on the outskirts of the capital at Casteries.

Taxis are the primary means of transportation. Many hotels offer van services or taxi service to and from the main airports. Water taxis are also a good means to travel to and from secluded beaches. They can be hired at marinas around the island. Just make sure to have them pick you up at a scheduled time.

English is the official language. It can be difficult sometimes to understand the natives as the speak a form of creole or Patios.
