The climate of Puerto Vallarta is that of a typical tropical city. The temperature and humidity are pretty constant ranging from 86 F to a low of 70 F or so. The average humidity is about 70%. The rainy season is from June through October. Most of the rain occurs from large rainstorms that form in the late afternoon and into the evening. Puerto Vallarta does have an occasional hurricane. Hurricane Kenna in 2002 and Hurricane Lily in 1971 are the most notable events.
