The weather in Jamaica is tropical and warm. The average high temperature is in the low to mid 80’s. The dry season is from December through May and the rainy season is from June through November. The island receives rain year round, just more in the rain season.

The rain usually occurs from afternoon thunderstorms that form around the mountain areas. The drier parts of the island are the locations furthest away from the higher elevations.

Jamaica lies in the Hurricane belt and has been struck by Hurricanes in the past.
