Dominica Weather and Seasons

The weather in Dominica is warm and humid. The average high temperature is in the mid to high 80’s and the low is from the low to mid 70’s. Dominica receives about 350 inches of rain a year in the mountains and about 40 inches of rain in the lower parts of the island.

There are two weather seasons in Dominica. The dry season is from December through May. The rainy season is from June through November. This time of year is also the main Hurricane season.

The humidity can be quite high at times but is usually moderated by the trade winds that blow over the island constantly.
