January –

New Years Day – traditional holiday celebrating the new year. Many festivals, parades, music and more held by the various cities.

February –

Carnival ( late February, early March ) – Carnival is a pre Lent celebration celebrated around the island. There are many parties, parades and festivals.

April –

Domfesta ( late April, early May ) – An island wide festival celebrating the islands culture. Many music and dance festivals are held in the larger cities.

June –

DiveFest – This annual event is used as a promotion to attract tourist to the island and discover diving in Dominica.

October –

World Creole Festival – Creole musicians from all over the Caribbean celebrate this local form of Music with many events and festivals.

November –

Independence Day Celebration ( November 3 ) – A national holiday celebrating the islands independence from England.

December –

Christmas Celebration.
