Our website offers a very powerful tool to compare cities based on various criteria. This will help you determine what cities are right for you. When search for resorts and destinations, add the cities to the compare list by checking the box next to the city and press the “add city to compare” button on the bottom of the search page.

Compare the cities in your compare list by selecting the compare link on the top right of the search pages. Below is a short guide to what is included in the compare results.

Distance This is the distance from your origin to the city. If you did not enter a zip code in the initial search page, this will be blank.

Average Hotel + Meals This is the total hotel and meal cost for your trip. The default is for two people staying 6 nights. These numbers are averages taken from many hotels and food services. Expect to pay higher for more luxurious accommodations and more indulgent meals. Expect to pay less for bare bones lodging and meals.

Average Airfare This is the total airfare for the entire party. These are averages and subject to seasonal differences.

Travel Time/Cost to Drive The first value is the average time it would take to drive to this city. If the distance is more than 300 miles, this value is blank. The second value is the total cost of the trip including car travel, hotel and meals.

Travel Time/Cost to Fly The first value is the average time it would take to fly to this city. If the distance is less than 300 miles, this value is blank. The second value is the total cost of the trip including air travel, hotel and meals.

Safety This value is the relative safety compared to other cities. 100 is the highest safety rating.

Attractions This is the total number of attraction in and around the city based on what was entered in the initial search page.

AvgTemp/AvgRain the first value is the average high temperature for the city for the month. If no month was specified, this value may be blank. The second value is the average rain fall in inches.
