Caymand Islands Beaches and Points of InterestListed below are the most popular beaches in the Caymand Islands. The island itself is mostly surrounded by coral reefs that protect the beaches. The beaches are mostly thin strips of sand that are built up over time and protected by the reefs. Most of the beaches are protected from large ocean swells. Take a look at the more popular beaches below and a full list of beaches at the bottome. Seven Mile Beach – This beach is the most well known and popular beach in the islands. The beach is lined with luxury hotels of all sorts. Restaurants, shops and bars take up all the other available space. There are plenty of water sports to enjoy. The beaches are a bit crowded during high season. The water is calm and good for swimming and snorkeling. Cayman Kai – This quite beach is located on the north end of Grand Cayman. The beach is about 6 miles long with pure white sand and lined with palm trees. There are less crowds than Seven Mile beach and a few less amenities. There are several water sports vendors along with a few restaurants. The surf is calm and good for swimming and snorkeling. Rum Point – This beach located on north coast of Grand Cayman. This beach is near Cayman Kai and offers the visitor white sandy beaches also lined with palm trees. There are several water sports vendors offering snorkeling rentals, parasail adventures and dive equipment. There are a few restaurants and bars located directly on the beach. The most famous attraction however is the Wreck Bar that was the originator of the frozen mudslide drink. Sandy Point – This beach located on the east coast of Little Cayman island. This beach is the most popular beach on Little Cayman island. It offers a variety of food and beverage services. There are no hotels on the beach but is within a drive from the hotel area. This is a great beach to explore. Owen Island – This is an island surrounded by white sandy beaches and palm trees. The island is a few hundred yards offshore. There are frequent water taxis to take tourist to and from the island. There are no vendors or facilities so bring all your own stuff.
