The bus services in Cancun are average. The bus system still remains the best way to travel the hotel zone and to and from the downtown area. The busses can be packed and can be very exciting. The buses do not air conditioning and have little other amenities like padded seats.
Taxi’s are another recommended way to travel. Taxis cost more than the bus services but are private and more comfortable. Make sure to ask the fair before departing to avoid any uncertainties. The taxis usually have a pre-set rate to various destinations in the hotel zone.
