British Virgin Islands Festivals and Events
January –

New Year’s Day ( January 1 ) – Celebrate the new years with festivals and events all around the islands.

March –

Hamilton Lavity Stoutt’s Birthday – National holiday celebrating the countries first Chief Minister.

Commonwealth Day – National holiday celebrating the British Commonwealth of nations. Celebrated on the second Monday of the month.

Easter Festival – This is a great three day celebration on Virgin Gorda. Many festivals, music and parades are performed.

Dark and Stormy Regatta – Annual regatta held on the islands.

April –

BVI Spring Regatta – Annual sailing festival. This seven day event includes many festivals, foods, island music and dancing along with a three day sailing race.

Whit Monday – a day after the Pentecost or feast associated with Easter.

British Virgin Islands Music Fest – Held in the month of April to celebrate the island culture. Enjoy Calypso, Reggae and other island influenced music.

June –

British Virgin Islands Windsurfing and Sailing Competition – Annual windsurfing event held along with a week long celebration with festivals, music and services.

Sovereign’s Birthday – Celebrating the Queen’s birthday.

July –

Territory Day – National holiday celebrating the islands heritage.

Emancipation Festival – Starts in late July and ends in early August. This festival celebrates the emancipation of slavery in the British Empire.

October –

Wreck Week – Usually held the last week in October. The celebration is week long celebration for diving in the British Virgin Islands.

Saint Ursula’s Day ( October 21 ) – Holiday in British Virgin Islands celebrating Saint Ursula on the Christian calendar.

December –

Christmas ( December 25 )
