The Bahamas Weather and Seasons

The weather is warm and mild all year. The weather however can be more variable than other Caribbean islands. The average high temperature is in the low to upper 80’s depending on the time of year. The water temperature is dependent on the gulf stream and changes temperature accordingly. The water tends to be warm even in the winter months.

The Bahamas does get periods of rain. The rain usually arrives in the form of storms drifting in from the US mainland during the winter. Afternoon thunderstorms are frequent in the summer months along with high humidity. The weather is similar to that of Florida with less fluctuation.

The Bahamas is in the Hurricane belt and is affected by Hurricanes and Tropical storms. The season is from June through November.
