Antigua Weather and Seasons

The weather in Antigua is about the same year round. The average high temperature in the summer is in the low 80s. The average high temperature in the winter months is in the high 70’s. The islands receive about 45 inches of rain per year. The rain is very sporadic and is susceptible to drought.

The rain usually occurs in the form of a thunderstorm moving over the island during the late afternoon and early evening.

Antigua and Barbuda lie in the hurricane belt. The Hurricane belt is a section of the Caribbean see that hurricanes may pass through. There have on been 5 hurricanes in the past 50 years that have struck the island.
