The divers jump from several location from the cliff face into the shallow waters of the La Quebrada. The timing must be perfect for one miscalculation will result in sever injury. The vendors can be found in front of most hotels and popular beaches. Another popular attraction is the town square. The town center is know as Zocalo. ATV rides and horseback rides can be arranged from most of the larger hotels. Isla de la Raqueta – This is a beautiful small island ideal for families to play in the water. The only way there is by water taxi or glass bottom boat that can be taken from Caleta Beach. The water taxis are available all day. CICI is a very popular water park that is especially fun for kids. There are many slides, pools and other fun activities. The water park also offers Dolphin shows and the chance to swim with dolphins. Acapulco, like most all other large resorts has its share of petty criminals looking to steal your belongings if you are not careful. It is best to leave all your expensive belongings at home and take little of value with you on your trip. Timeshare vendors are always present in resort areas. Please be advised that if someone in front of a hotel approaches you and offers you a free tour, it is probably a timeshare salesmen looking to sign you up for a presentation. Do yourself a favor and walk away and do not take any services they offer. Make sure you negotiate your transportation to and from the hotels before you leave. It is best to arrange your transportation through the hotel or travel agents. There are many not so truthful vendors at the airport that are looking to take your money. |
